The poutama is an acknowledgment to his ascension to the heavens while the 2 pātiki in the centre symbolise the 2 stones (Rehu-a-tai and Huka-a-tai) that were gifted to Tāne by Io. At the back of the sock you will find 3 pātiki for Kete Tuari , Kete Aronui, Kete Tuatea, The 3 Kete of knowledge.
Tōkena are knitted and made out of cotton, polyester and spandex. They are designed with an elastic midfoot to stop your sock from slipping down your foot and to cuddle your arch.
